Review for the local anesthesia written exam
About the exam
- Who gives it
- ADEX and CRDTS each give a local anesthesia exam. Some states use their own.
- CRDTS parts
- A written exam, plus clinical PSA and IA injections on a patient where the state requires them.
- What your state wants
- Each state board decides which parts you need. Check yours before you register.
- What we cover
- The written part only. Injections are taught and checked in person in your approved course.

What the review will cover
- Anesthetic agents, vasoconstrictors and their maximum doses.
- Dose calculations, worked step by step, with practice until they're automatic.
- Head and neck anatomy for each injection, and what goes wrong when it's missed.
- Medical history, contraindications and managing emergencies.
- A timed mock exam.
An example lesson screen on dose calculations, worked in three steps: milligrams per milliliter from the percentage, milligrams per cartridge, then the maximum for this patient. Below it, a timed mock exam.

How every question gets checked
Every lesson and question goes through the same 6 steps before you see it, and after.

AI drafts the lesson or question from those sources.
- 3

- 5
You can flag it
